“I had always been intrigued by the idea of starting my own business, but I felt like I needed an idea that would change the world — and I didn’t have one. Eventually, I realized I had the ability to help the people with the great ideas maximize their impact.”
Hi, I’m Tasha Prados, CEO and Founder of Duraca Strategic. I’m a bilingual and multicultural strategist with ten years of international project management, communications, and marketing experience with the world’s leading agencies, brands, and nonprofits. I’ve received over a dozen industry awards, including from the Shorty Social Good Awards, the Public Relations Society of America, and the American Advertising Federation.
After four years at a top-three global advertising agency working on multimillion-dollar projects for Fortune 500 companies and U.S. government clients, I left to start my own business and become a digital nomad.
I had always been intrigued by the idea of starting my own business, but I felt like I needed an idea that would change the world — and I didn’t have one. Eventually, I realized I had the ability to help the people with the great ideas maximize their impact.
I knew that the same knowledge and processes I’d used to further the aims of clients like the U.S. Peace Corps, Intel, and the U.S. National Institutes of Health could profoundly help smaller organizations make the world a better place.
My roots lie in social justice, international development, and cross-cultural communication; it grounds everything that I do. Before founding Duraca Strategic, I worked at Ogilvy, the United Nations Foundation, the Embassy of Afghanistan in Washington, DC, a think tank, a start up, and several nonprofit organizations.
I served as a Water and Sanitation Volunteer in the Peace Corps in Peru from 2011 to 2013, and was recognized by the National Peace Corps Association on their 40 Under 40 list exemplifying a new generation of leadership.
Being a digital nomad enables me to do my best work, because when I’m not working, I feel like I’m living life to the fullest. I get inspired by learning about other cultures. I founded Duraca Travels to give you the tools and confidence to pack up your laptop and see the world. It also houses my writing for outlets like Business Insider and Travel + Leisure.
Being a location-independent remote worker has given me the opportunity to work with great organizations and entrepreneurs I never would have met otherwise.
